Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 This is a revelation from the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, 2 A Book, the verses of which are distinguished, an Arabic Koran for a nation who know. 3 Good tidings and a warning. But most of them turn away so that they hear not. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 (To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward uninterrupted. 8
