Alshu'araa' 11 of 11
This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 Who listens to you for spreading rumours; but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
