AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 and guarded them from every stoned satan. 17 But he who steals a hearing, so there follows him a visible flame. 18 And the earth! We have stretched it out and have cast thereon mountains firm, and We have caused to spring up thereon everything weighed. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure. 21 And We sent the winds that relieve the clouds’ burden, therefore caused water to descend from the sky, then give it to you to drink; and you are not at all its treasurers. 22 And verily We! it is We who give life and death, and We shall be the survivors. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 and, behold, it is thy Sustainer who will gather them all together [on Judgment Day]: verily, He is Wise, All-Knowing! 25
