Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
