(Muhammad), We have revealed the Quran to you in gradual steps. 23 Therefore wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them a sinner or an ungrateful one. 24 And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]. 25 And worship Him (a portion) of the night. And glorify Him through the livelong night. 26 Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. 27 We, even We, created them, and strengthened their frame. And when We will, We can replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. 28 Surely this is a reminder, so whoever pleases takes to his Lord a way. 29 But you will not unless God wills; surely God is ever All-knowing, All-wise. 30 For He admits into His mercy whomsoever He will; as for the evildoers, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement. 31
