Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
