Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
