The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in endless columns! 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
