And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth? 67 "Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers - this is nothing but stories of former people." 68 Proclaim, O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him, "Travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell the guilty." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, "It could be that a part of what you are impatient for is already after you." 72 "Verily, your Lord is full of Grace for mankind, yet most of them do not give thanks." 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Surely this Quran declares to the children of Israel most of what they differ in. 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to pass against them, We shall bring forth for them a creature from the earth that shall wound them, because people did not believe in Our communications. 82
