Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty! 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 And all the hidden secrets of the heavens and the earth are (written) in a clear Book. (The Preserved Tablet) 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 so put your trust in God. Surely you are on the path of manifest truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
