۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
