Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 So did they not see the sky above them – how We have made it and beautified it, and there are no cracks in it? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 and Ad, and Pharaoh, and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
