Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
