The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
