Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and so am I: 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
