The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extended columns. 9
