By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 in Gardens they will question 40 about the guilty ones: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
