Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, writers 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
