HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
