The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created the human being 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
