The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 The mountains like the tufts of carded wool. 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 shall have a blissful life; 7 But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales, 8 Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit. 9 What shall let you know what the Plunging is? 10 (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely! 11
