Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O children of Israel, remember the favours I bestowed on you. So keep your pledge to Me, and I will mine to you, and be fearful of Me, 40 Believe in My revelations (Quran) that confirms what I revealed to you (about Prophet Muhammad in your Scripture). Do not be the first ones to deny it nor sell My revelations for a small price, but have fear of Me. 41 Do not confound truth with falsehood, nor knowingly hide the truth while you know. 42 Establish worship, pay the poor-due, and bow your heads with those who bow (in worship). 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 Seek help with patience and prayer; this is indeed an exacting discipline, but not to the humble, 45 who realize that ultimately they shall meet their Lord and shall return to Him. 46
