۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
