Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
