Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
