The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 and by that (Power) which created the male and female, 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 As for him who gave out his wealth (for Allah's sake) and abstained (from disobeying Him), 5 And believeth in goodness; 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Surely Ours is it to show the way, 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
