Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
