3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
