Do you not see how those who dispute God's signs, are turned away from the right path -- 69 Those who denied the Book and what We sent with Our Noble Messengers; so they will soon come to know. – 70 When shackles will be on their necks and also chains; they will be dragged. 71 into boiling water, then, into the Fire they shall be poured. 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 Beside Allah? They will say: they have failed us; aye! we have not been calling upon aught afore. Thus doth Allah lead the infidels astray. 74 (They will be told): “This is because while you were on earth you took delight in untruth and exulted in it. 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud. 76 So be thou patient; surely God's promise is true. Whether We show thee a part of that We promise them, or We call thee unto Us, to Us they shall be returned. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
