Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
HA MIM. 1 This Book is revealed from God, the Majestic and All-wise. 2 Indeed, there are signs in the heavens and earth for believers, 3 and in your own creation; and in the animals which He spreads out over the earth too there are Signs for those endowed with sure faith; 4 and in the alternation of night and day, and the provision God sends down from heaven, and therewith revives the earth after it is dead, and the turning about of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. 5 These messages of God do We convey unto thee, setting forth the truth. In what other tiding, if not in God's messages, will they, then, believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar! 7 Who hears the revelations of God being recited to him, yet persists in denying with arrogance as though he had never heard them! So warn him of a painful punishment. 8 And when he comes to know of any of Our communications, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement. 9 Hell is awaiting them and none of their deeds will be of any benefit to them, nor will any guardian whom they have chosen besides God. They will suffer a great torment. 10 This is guidance. And those who disbelieve the revelations of their Lord, for them there is a painful doom of wrath. 11
