The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9
