Blessed be He Who has placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp (sun), and a moon giving light. 61 It is He who has made the night and the day, one proceeding the other, for whoever wants to take heed or give thanks. 62 For, [true] servants of the Most Gracious are [only] they who walk gently on earth, and who, whenever the foolish address them, reply with [words of] peace; 63 And these who pass the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing up. 64 and who pray: "O our Sustainer, avert from us the suffering of hell - for, verily, the suffering caused by it is bound to be a torment dire: 65 It is a terrible abode and an evil station," 66 who, when they expend, are neither prodigal nor parsimonious, but between that is a just stand; 67 And those who do not worship any other deity along with Allah, and do not unjustly kill any living thing which Allah has forbidden, nor commit adultery; and whoever does this will receive punishment. 68 and on the Day of Judgment their torment will be double. They will suffer forever in disgrace. 69 except for those who repent and believe and do good deeds. God will change the evil deeds of such people into good ones: He is most forgiving and most merciful. 70 In fact, the one who repents and does righteous deeds, returns to Allah as one ightly should. - 71 and those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle talk, pass by with honor 72 Who, when reminded of their Lord's revelations, do not fall for them like the deaf and blind; 73 And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous." 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest heaven, for that they endured patiently, and they shall receive therein a greeting and --' Peace!' 75 And abide there for ever: What an excellent destination and abode! 76 Say thou: my Lord careth not for you were it not for your prayer; whereas ye have even belied, so presently this denial shall come as the cleaving punishment. 77
