Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 “When we are dead and have turned to dust, will we be raised again? That return is impossible!” 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the skies water rich in blessings, and cause thereby gardens to grow, and fields of grain, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
