The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 They sat by it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
