The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
