The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 and by that (Power) which created the male and female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 As for him who gave out his wealth (for Allah's sake) and abstained (from disobeying Him), 5 And believed the best matter to be true 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 He who gives his wealth to be purified, 18 And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
