The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midday brightness 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
