Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

۞ Did We not expand thy breast for thee 1 And removed from you your burden, 2 that weighed so heavily on your back, and 3 And exalted for you your esteem? 4 And behold, with every hardship comes ease: 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when you finish the prayer, strive in supplication. 7 and let your longing be for your Lord (in humility). 8
