Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 On the Day whereon We shall gather the God-feaing unto the Compassionate as an embassy. 85 and drive those who were lost in sin unto hell as a thirsty herd is driven to a well 86 They shall not own intercession, excepting those who have taken of the Compassionate a covenant. 87 And the disbelievers said, “The Most Gracious has chosen an offspring.” 88 Surely you have made a monstrous statement. 89 The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 because they ascribe a son to the Gracious One. 91 although it is inconceivable that the Most Gracious should take unto Himself a son! 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Beneficent Allah as a servant. 93 He has indeed counted them, and He has numbered them exactly. 94 And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
