۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 And Pharaoh sent forth heralds to all the cities. 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 but they are indeed filled with hatred of us 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
