Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
