Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
