And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
