The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
