He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 To him you give attention. 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 As for him who comes to you striving (after goodness), 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And grapes and herbage 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing and joyous 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Covered with the blackness (of shame): 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
