Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble, recording, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
