The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
