Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And surely they used to say: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
