▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for he who fears the standing (before) his Lord there are two Gardens. 46 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 49 In each of the two Gardens are two flowing springs. 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 53 reclining upon couches lined with brocade, the fruits of the gardens nigh to gather -- 54 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 55 In them maidens with averted glances, undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 56 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 57 [There will be] maidens as fair as corals and rubies. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 59 Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness? 60 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 61 And besides them, there are two more Gardens. 62 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 63 Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. 64 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 65 In these there will also be two springs gushing forth. 66 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 67 In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 In them are women of good behaviour and gorgeous faces. 70 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 [companions] whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 74 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and fine carpets. 76 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
