The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Lo!
