And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 about what they did. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
